Doha: Shops and dining areas in Souq Waqif will be allowed to stay open 24 hours a day starting from November ahead of the World Cup.
Various restaurants also expanded their menus to cater to different palates, along with matching uniforms to celebrate football's biggest tournament set to kick off in November.
According to a report by the Arabic daily Al Sharq, several restaurant managers and owners affirmed their readiness to receive World Cup guests by increasing the number of its wares and workers.
They have also highlighted Souq Waqif as a major tourism landmark, known for its authentic beauty and evident cultural heritage, which will surely attract a huge number of visitors attending the World Cup next month as winter sets in.
On the other hand, some establishments have started stocking extra goods, noting that all preparations have been completed to welcome fans of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, to be held for the first time in the Middle East.
