Doha: The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which takes place from November 20 to December 18, will see the Williams brothers, Inaki and Nicholas, representing two different countries.
While Inaki will be playing for Ghana, his native country, Nicolas, on the other hand, will be defending the colours of the Spanish national team.
Ghana is in Group H, which includes Uruguay, South Korea and Portugal, while Spain is in Group E, which includes Germany, Japan and Costa Rica.
The two brothers play with the Spanish team Atletico Bilbao, where they gave the team a great start to this season where they have continued to dazzle with their brilliance and high technical abilities.
According to FIFA, Inaki, 28, broke a record in the Spanish League by participating in 203 consecutive matches, but he has not been part of the Spanish national team since 2016, while his brother Nicholas, 20, has just started his professional career, and has only a few matches with the Spanish club itself.
The elder Williams brother will be wearing the Ghanaian colours after finally switching nationality from Spain, the country of his birth, to the his parents' homeland.
As for Nicholas, he will be playing for the Spanish national team, after he participated for the first time last September in the European Nations League.
