Doha: Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has today, November 9, 2022, unveiled a QR 22 commemorative banknote for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The currency with the World Cup trophy and Qatar 2022 logo has a picture of Lusail Stadium on one side and Al Bayt Stadium on the other.
The two stadiums are the venues for the opening and final World Cup matches. The Qatari emblem, the Doha skyline, a dhow, and the Zubara fort can also be seen in the background of the note.
Qatar Central Bank also stated that the issuance of the official commemorative banknote for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be coordinated with the official authorities organizing the tournament.
