Doha: Several Qatar national team footballers expressed their anticipation to start their campaign in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament against Ecuador national football team on November 20 at Al Bayt Stadium, in their first appearance in this tournament.
Goalkeeper Saad Al Dossari confirmed the full readiness of the team after premium preparations made during the past period, adding that it is a great honour for any footballer to participate in the tournament and every footballer boasts of this participation, indicating that the team aspires to perform in a hopeful manner and present levels befitting the reputation of Qatari football and the Asian champion.
For his part, defender Bassam Al Rawi said that they all aspire to depict a positive image during the first tournament held in the Arab world and Middle East region, noting the readiness of the team to strongly compete and achieve important results in a first tournament to be played by the Qatari team in the history of World Cup, adding that all footballers are ready with dreams to top the list of the tournament, especially that it is held on the land of Qatar.
Midfielder Abdulaziz Hatem said that everyone is waiting for the kick-off of the historic participation in the tournament, pointing out that all players were keen to make great efforts in the preparatory period, adding that the team has reached a high degree of readiness. He said the morale was extremely high and every player is proud of these moments even before the historic date, indicating that he is aware of the great responsibility, knowing the value of being present in this tournament.
Defender Abdelkarim Hassan said that he was eagerly awaiting the kick-off of the tournament, after he had the honour of being on the final list that will compete in the most prominent football event in the world, stressing that it was his dream to play in the World Cup.
