Doha: Qatar started their preparations for the match against Senegal. The match will take place on Friday at the Al Thumama Stadium.
Qatar intend to rectify the errors they had demonstrated when they faced Ecuador which ended in a 2-0 win for Ecuador, and the main concern of all footballers is to reverse the image they had presented in the opener last Sunday to remain in contention for the Round of 16 berth.
Qatar are aware of the fact that the opening confrontation had its difficulties and all scenarios are possible in Group A, where the main concern for Spanish coach Felix Sanchez is to help regain the real face of the team and rectify the defensive lapses that were made. He might resort to make some changes in the team.
In addition, Qatar conducted their recovery training on Monday at Aspire Park venues during which the coaching staff were keen to focus on the physical aspects to restore the physical fitness of all players and avoid potential injuries, especially for the main players who played the match, and exerted intensive efforts.
It may be recalled that Senegal had lost 0-2 to the Netherlands on Monday.
