Paris: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Christophe Galtier has praised the impressive organizational success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which concluded last Sunday.

"We watched the wonderful Qatar 2022 World Cup," Galtier said in an interview with Paris Saint-Germain club website. "It was a great success, and I was lucky to spend some days in Doha, where I watched several matches."

He added, "It was a very organized World Cup at a distinguished level, with many surprises. It was a special period during which I was able to spend time with my family, watch matches at a very high level, and follow our international players who participated in the World Cup."

Galtier explained that the downtime during the World Cup allowed the players of his club to relax and focus to prepare for the second stage of the league of the current season and the challenges that await the players in the coming days and weeks.

The PSG coach indicated that this pause was also appropriate to stand on a preliminary outcome for the current season and evaluate it.

He stressed that his club is fully prepared for the launch of the second phase of the French Football League, and said: "The second phase will resume quickly with two important matches, on December 28 against Strasbourg, then on January 1 against Lens, we prepared well, during the last 6-week, and this is unique for us as coaches, and we tried as much as possible for the players to be in their best condition with the resumption of competitions".
