Poland national team played its first international match on December 18, 1921, and appears in the World Cup finals for the ninth time in its history, and third place in the 1974 and 1982 editions were their best achievements in the World Cup. They participated in the European Nations Cup four times and reached the quarterfinals once, in the 2016 edition.
